Police Commission Meeting

The Edmonton Police Commission will hold its monthly meeting on September 19th, during which the public can provide input. We are asking all community members to speak at the commission about return-to-work policies and the need for Chief McFee to be fired over recent commentary regarding the murder of Mathios Arkangelo. The Edmonton Police Commission oversees the Police Service and Chief McFee. They are the direct oversight body with the most operational control over the Edmonton Police Service. As the community, we have a responsibility to hold the police accountable. McFee has continued to promote false and dangerous narratives about police violence. He has gone as far as to justify police killings as the “nature of the job” and has spoken of “teaching people lessons.” We encourage the community to register to speak, link below, and voice their concerns over recent actions by the Edmonton Police Service.
